What genre of books do you usually look for or prefer to read?
I personally like science fiction and fantasy the most (I can't decide which one more...). I don't know why, but I seem to like genres that seem more... fictional and less realistic.
Also, I like the wuxia genre, though I'm not too sure if you all are familiar with it. Wuxia is more of a martial arts and chivalry genre. It goes well with fantasy (in fact, I'd say it can't go without it or it would be quite boring). The typical wuxia story would be one taking place in ancient China and having characters that know martial arts and fight for whatever motive they have (usually some kind of revenge or gain of title).
Anyways, just looking for your opinions. ;D

Hmm...I like Sci-fi and Fantasy, too...
I also like Non-fiction...but for me, I like narrative stories that really captivate you...
OH! And mystery! I loooooooooooooove mysteries! Trying to solve a mystery is so much fun for me. ;D So I'll go with that.
Off topic: Is it just me, or does it seem like the words "Non-fiction" should mean "not true", and Fiction should mean "true"?
By the way, it's nice to see you again, Midna Fan! ;D

Haha, I used to think that way too! ;D It made me so confused in the school library when they label stuff fiction and non-fiction, but since I switched the two, I never really found what I was looking for (plus, my English wasn't too good).
I liked reading detective stories too, but now I'm reading less and watching TV more... lol getting really lazy...

Whenever summer comes, I'm always like, "Okay, now I'm going to read all those books I've been planning on reading." I never do, but I can usually get one finished.

It's like you guys are thinking Factual and Non-Factual instead of Fiction and Non-Fiction.
Hey, that's kind-of cool, that Fiction is the main thing and everything else is just "not Fiction." heheh, I guess that says something about which one everyone likes better! ;D
Fiction just means stuff made up. Opposite of Fact, I guess. Like "Fact or Fiction"
Oooh, and I like mysteries too! xD It's just that I like FANTASY mysteries. ^_^
Incidentally, I know a good fantasy series that has good mystery in it. It's kind-of more geared for children, but hey, I enjoyed it! The author actually also writes adult mysteries, so that should say something. The series is called Deltora Quest. Emily Rodda is her fake name when writing the children's books (she also does the Rowan of Rin series, and one other one my sisters read). Her real name for the adult mystery books is Jennifer Rowe.
lol, maybe we should start a book club! ;D
