Sadly, it's true. Zelda's different in this game.
She's no longer the quiet, calm, ridiculously-wise-for-her-age princess we've known for so long.
Which is especially bad, considering that she's your partner in the game.
Then again, maybe that's why they made her that way. She is more like Link's other companions...
Still, I would have preferred the old Zelda. Although she does have some pretty funny lines.

Maybe it's because in most of the other games she just doesn't have a big role and this time Zelda's there all the time. Or maybe because this is still Tetra who wasn't exactly raised to be a princess... Anyway, I got the game a few days ago but I'm not opening it until Christmas so I wouldn't know anything yet. Edit: I saw my sister play a few minutes of it, now I know I was completely off.

Well, you might not be completely off...there are quite a few references to PH. And since Tetra is Zelda's ancestor (although it's never clearly stated, who else could it be?), it's not so hard to believe that her personality has survived, and been passed down for generations.
I still wish she'd stop whining, though.
In the past, when she's asked Link for help, I would get the feeling that she felt bad for asking him, and would completely understand if he didn't want to. But now...she's kind of bossing him around, which gets on my nerves.

Didn't you guys notice the huge stained glass window above Princess Zelda's throne? The picture is of Tetra! xD This princess is probably Tetra's great granddaughter or something.
The tie-ins to Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass throughout the game are AWESOME! xD
I like this Zelda. She actually fits the setting quite well. And she was very princess-y in the beginning, shushing the chancellor with a wave of the hand. Also, she's just a kid. Zelda from OoT and TP was older and therefore, obviously, more mature and proper.

She looks exactly the same as ST Zelda, so they're probably around the same age. But SHE was still mature and calm, like the other Zeldas, even though she wasn't just related to Tetra; she WAS Tetra. Oh well. I wouldn't have minded having regular, mostly quiet Zelda along for the ride.
