Wait! Before you think "Twilight Prince is such an idiot for asking how many triangles are in the Triforce," think for a second! There are 5 triangles. The usual three, plus the upside-down one in the center, and all of the triangles put together make a bigger triangle!

What if the triangles are 3-dimensional? ^_~

How are there 17 triangles? If each triangle is three-dimensional, I guess.

How are there 17 triangles? If each triangle is three-dimensional, I guess. Well... 3D objects are made from 2D surfaces, meaning every pyramid is made of 4 triangles and 1 square. Since the triforce is made of three pyramids(3d triangles), then that means there are 12 triangles and 3 squares in a 3d triforce. ...I did that in my head.

Hmmm... 4+4+4=12 & 1+1+1=3 & 12+3=15. So how does that make 17? Oh I know! You devide, from corner to corner, each of the squares... 6+12=17! I did it! I figured it out!

Yeah there are only 12. Unless you divide the 2 squares in half.
