resumeplay.net/2010/03/what-the-next-wii-zelda-title-needs/I was randomly browsing and came across this article. I think I can agree with most of it. If these things are done, the next Zelda game could be much better and more challenging than the last few games that have been out lately. What are your thoughts?

Interesting. I'm not sure I like the voice acting idea. Grunts, yells and maniacal laughs are plenty, I'd say. ^^ Though it does seem like they're playing with the idea of voice acting. Midna was always blabbing randomly, which sounded like voice acting sorta. So who knows?
I'll be fine with orchestrations, too. xD But really I'm also fine with what they've had already.
More challenging would be cool. Make it easy to know what to do, but hard to actually do it, maybe. Or have different things that could work, but some that work better. Or, I dunno, I'm sure they can figure something out. ^^
Sidequests are fun, so yes, more awesome sidequests! ^^
And yes yes yes YES more personality for Ganondorf or whoever! Like in Wind Waker! xD And a good sidekick would be nice. An awesome Zant, maybe. ^^

I agree completely with Calanon.
There's not really much I can add, except that I'd DEFINITELY like more complexity to the bosses.
It's always "Find the (usually glowing) weak point, find a way to get near it, and attack until the boss pulls it away from you."
I would like having "changing weak points," perhaps.
Another thing is, usually, you only need 1 or 2 items to defeat the boss. And usually, one of them (sometimes the only one) is the item you've gotten earlier in the dungeon. I don't have a problem with using the item you obtained, but I would like to have to use more items. I'm not saying I'd want to have to keep pulling up the weapons menu, but I would like more variety.
And, finally, I would ABSOLUTELY like a deeper story. I read a lot about how the stories of the Zelda games are so compelling, but to be honest...there's not that much to them, and it's almost always pretty much the same, as the article said.
So, yes, I would definitely like a more complex story!
Thanks for posting that link, Rafa, I really enjoyed reading it, and I agreed with most of it. ;D

Yeah, I also don't exactly agree with the voice acting. I've gotten too used to hearing people's voices, but not having them actually say anything. (For example, I still think Peach talking in the intro to some Mario games is just weird.) The dungeons in these last few games seem to be generally the same. There's a fire-themed dungeon, water-themed dungeon, etc... It made me think back to earlier games like in a Link to the Past - there aren't any themed dungeons. Whatever the dungeons looked like just depended on where they were. The only thing that came close to a themed dungeon was Level 2 (that place where you have to pull the lever to drain the water). I also agree a lot about giving the characters more depth. Some people might not like it, since it might change the game from an action-adventure game to something more like an action RPG. I definitely agree with the sidequests. I like having extra things to do in a game, my favorite being the Kafei-Anjou events in Majora's Mask. I really like the idea that a sidequest could be something that branches out of the game's main story and affects things that happen in the game later on. (Maybe I'm biased... I really like the idea of Zelda games being a little more RPG-like, but I'm sure a lot of people like it how it is.) And about the bosses... The final boss in Twilight Princess changed its strategy in the middle of the battle. It made me wonder, "why doesn't this happen more often? And why do all regular enemies act the same instead of some being more aggressive than others?" Most of the bosses in Zelda games are simple. You just need to find a pattern. The reason some boss battles are hard is because some patterns are more complicated than others. What would make this game a lot challenging would be if the boss changed its strategy or hid its weak point in the middle of the battle. Those are my thoughts on it. I meant to type this when I posted it but for some reason I didn't...
