Chapter One
Date: Arimoon 14th, 712 It was a somewhat usual day, the kids out and about, my friends helping them out and talking amongst themselves. I would be there too, if it weren't for someone who was calling out to me.
"Navi!"
It's a voice only we can hear from far, since we were the kids' guardians after all.
I said my goodbyes to the others, and made my way across town, past the meadow, and into the shrine.
"What did you call me for, Great Deku Tree?" I asked.
"Navi..." He told me in a sad, desperate tone, "Come closer..." Of course, it seemed like he really needed me. I came a bit closer. "You've recently noticed the children have had insomnia. They've had nightmares for these past days." He paused for a bit, I could only nod and let him continue speaking. "These last few night have been full of nightmares. There is an evil wind all around, I can sense it. The wind has been so powerful, that even I can not stop it. As you have seen i've been growing old, and growing weak. I fear there will be a time when I will not be able to protect this forest no longer. Navi, I want you to go and look for the boy without a fairy and guide him here. He may be our last hope. Go now, Navi, go forth and bring him to me. I'll explain more when you come back."
He seemed very serious about this. I didn't hesitate and went back to town. By then, it was already dawn. We spent the entire night talking, it seems.
End of Chapter One
(If you still don't know what it's about, it's OOT from Navi's point of view. "Navi's Journal" if you'd like to call it that...) (I make my own changes to the game's story. If you don't like them, get out.) (I'll continue the story if people are interested.)

Lol! I think it's a great idea to write a story from Navi's point of veiw! I mean, normally, it's from Link's point of veiw. Please continue!

Chapter Two
Date: Arimoon 15th, 712 We spent the full night talking; and after it all, I was exhausted but I kept my promise and went to town.
Of course, as soon as I reached the town, I got lost. I passed by the shop where I was greeted by another guardian, but I could only say "Hello" and be on my way. A bit later, I passed outside the town leader's house, and another guardian greeted me. Again, all I said was "Hey."
As soon as I found the house, I made a dash for it. It was a dumb move... I flew straight into the fence around that place.
I entered the house and noticed he was asleep. I hoped that he would wake up easily, so I tried talking to him.
It didn't work.
Irritated, I started to shout and poke around his face, and he eventually woke up. We had a small conversation at first.
"You awake, sleepyhead?" I said; "Yeah, yeah..." Sighed the boy; "I should get to the point; The Deku Tree told me to find you and take you to him." I said "Mmm... Wait, what? Who are you, anyway?" He said, a bit shocked "Oh, i'm sorry, where are my manners? My name's Navi. Nice to meet you!" "I'm Link... It's... Nice to meet you too."
We talked for a bit before heading out.

Chapter 3 (Arimoon 15th, continued)
I haven't slept at all, so I was really wanting to go to sleep. Unfortunately, what I was told to do was very important to just leave behind.
As soon as we went out of the house, I heard a voice. I saw it was Saria, with her guardian. We took our time, Link talking to Saria, and I talking to Karen, Saria's guardian. "So Navi, what happened yesterday?" Asked Karen "I'm not exactly sure, but I think the time has come..." I said. Karen stayed silent for a bit, and responded by saying, "Wow... Good luck." It was a very tense moment; or it would be if it weren't for Link and Saria sharing some gossip.
After a while, we made our way to the entrance of the meadow. I could easily go past the gate, but another child, Mido, was blocking Link's way through. I tried talking to his guardian before talking to him.
"Stay there, i'll try sorting this out," I said to Link.
"Hey, Dan, can we pass?" I asked to Mido's guardian. "I'm not sure, you'll have to talk to Mido, since I haven't been told anything yet," he replied. "Okay... Link, come here, talk to Mido for me, please?" I asked.
"Mido, could you let me pass?" Link asked "Oh, look! Mr. No Fairy! What's your business in the meadow?" Mido asked. "For your information, I do have a fairy. Now let me pass." Link said. I guess I got nervous and hit behind Link. (heheh...) Mido boldly responded by saying "Whatever! To pass by here, you need a sword and shield! This place has been getting more dangerous lately, and I don't want to be responsible if anything happens. If you're wanting to pass, you'll need them both, and i'm not making exceptions!"
Mido made it completely clear, so we split up to get what we needed. Link set off to find money to get a shield, and I asked around for the location of the Kokiri Sword, which was hidden deep in the forest only to be used for a time like this.
After I saw Link, I noticed a small shield on his back. "You ready," I asked, Link nodded, and we headed into the Lost Woods. I guided him past places that would be too dangerous for anyone else to go, but luckily, he was protected with his shield. I admit, he was very aware of his surroundings and didn't get hurt at all; as if he'd done this before.
At the end of it all, we came up to the shrine where the sword was kept. Link took out the sword and its sheath, and put it on. It seems like he was eager to try out a sword.
We made our way back to town and talked to Mido again.
As we returned, Mido said, "You're back? Like I said, you can't pass by here without some protection, like a sword and shield. I see you have the Deku Shield, and..."
As they talked, I also talked to Dan about the situation.
"It turns out i'm the one who will leave the forest," I sadly said. "That's very... bittersweet, huh? You're the one that's told in the legends, but you're also risking your life, leaving the people you know..." Dan stated. "Dan, Before anything happens, I want to let you know something..." I said "What is it?" He asked. I hesitated for a bit and said "I just want to let you know... I--" "Great. Come on, Navi." Link interrupted. "I'll come back soon." I said to Dan, and then flew over to Link.
We were heading past the meadow. It was clear that to Link, as well as every other Kokiri, that this area was very unfamiliar to any of them. "I-- I'm scared, Navi." Link suddenly said. I smiled, and responded, "Don't worry, i'll be with you. It'll be alright."
We walked through a clearing in the forest, the sunlight right above us showing the green color of the leaves. Every rock was neatly placed as if this used to be a shrine of some sort, as if there used to be another tree such as the Deku Tree here. Now the only plants here are the surrounding trees and a small sapling in the center of the clearing. We walked around the sapling, as it had a small wooden fence surrounding it, and we were suddenly ambushed by a plant. I could identify the plant right away. It had two thorned blue petals that is used as a jaw, and a large stem. "Link, this is a Deku Baba. Don't be afraid of it, just don't get close to its mouth, and you'll be alright." I said. "B-but... How do I get rid of it?" Link asked in the most nervous tone i've ever heard from anyone. "Just slice it like you would a regular plant, it should fall over." I said.
Link hesitated, but he took out the sword and cut the Baba at the tip where it came out of the ground. He thought the stick the Baba had would be useful, so he held on to it.
Before we knew it, we made it to the Deku Tree's shrine.

Chapter Four (Continued from Arimoon 15th) (((It wouldn't make sense having a place like Hyrule use the Gregorian calendar... I changed the calendar.))) The shrine is a very sacred place, meaning it is well cared for. Young saplings were sprouting here and there, and many flowers were close to blooming, if they hadn't bloomed already. It was common at this time, since this is almost the end of the month of Ari, the spirit of nature told in the old legends. A large tree with a figure that resembled a face on it was at the center of the shrine. I approached it slowly. "Great Deku Tree... I'm back." He seemed very worried. His branches were moving back and forth like how people shiver when they're nervous. "Navi... Thank you," he said, with a weak and disturbed voice. I could already tell something was wrong. "Please let us talk, Navi," he added. "Link, do you know why I summoned you here?" asked the Deku Tree. Link only shook his head. It seems that not many people have seen the Deku Tree, so it was natural that he would be a bit nervous. "Come closer. You have nothing to fear, my child." Yes, I remember. He always had the best way to tell people what would comfort them. "Link, these last few nights were disturbing, and full of nightmares, were they not?" "Y-yes... How did you know?" Link asked, still with a nervous tone. "These past few nights, there has been an evil air flowing through this forest that gives nightmares to those that are sensitive to it. It seems you have felt it." Link only stood there, with his attention focused on the Deku Tree's words. "Let me tell you why i've summoned you. Days ago, a man from the desert came and requested an item from me. His presence gave me an eerie feeling and I refused to give him the object. As a result, he cast a curse on me." That came to me as a shock, and Link was probably surprised too. "I need you, with your courage, to break this curse cast on me. If you accept, please be prepared." Link stayed silent for what seemed like years, but eventually said, "I-I accept." The Great Deku Tree's expression seemed astonished. I would guess he didn't expect him to agree. "Are you prepared?" He asked. "I-I'm..." Link's nervousness started to get to him. He started stuttering a bit more. "I-I... I don't kn-know." Link finally said. "Relax, my child. Relax..." "Link," I said, "there's no need to worry! Just answer him. He won't get mad, I promise you." Link hesitated, then finally said, "I am prepared, but everything I went though today left me tired." The Deku Tree smiled. "Not to worry," he said, "You may rest here for tonight. Navi, you too, you must be exhausted from your quests today. Take some rest." "Thank you," I gratefully said. I saw that Link had already fallen asleep in the grass, so I went over near him. I was now officially a Guardian Fairy, so I had to stay at his side. Right beside him, I sat down, and the next thing that I remembered was the sun hitting my face the morning after. End of Chapter Four. (I'm sorry this wasn't as good as the other chapters, and I'm also sorry that it took me so long to get this up.)

Chapter Five
Date: Windmoon 1st, 712
I woke up and looked at everything around me. It was a beautiful day. Already, there were birds awake and chirping. Flowers in bloom were facing the sun, and some children have already woken up and were walking around here. Despite all the noise, both Link and the Deku Tree were still fast asleep. I didn't want to wake them up, so I went out for a walk by the trail.
Seeing a fairy walk is a bit unusual, mostly because they're seen flying most of the time. Because of our size, it's easier on us to move around flying instead of walking. Unfortunately, because fairies don't walk as much, it makes us vulnerable when we have to rest on the ground, meaning we can't really run as quickly and we get tired easily.
For some strange reason that I still can't figure out to this day, I decided to take a walk through the trail, despite seeing monsters there the day before. Looking back at it, my choice was stupid, since I already knew that on the ground, we were weak. At one point where the trail splits into two, a Deku Baba suddenly came out and tried to take me by the leg. It managed to hold onto me, but, after what seemed forever, it let go.
Even now, the entire experience is blurry. The next thing I could remember was running back. Running, of all things! I realized what I was doing and quickly got off the ground and made my way back to the shrine as soon as possible.
I returned to the shrine to find both Link and the Deku Tree awake. They both turned to me when I arrived.
"Good morning, sleepyheads!" I said. They didn't respond. Instead, I noticed that Link was giving me an odd glare. "Navi! What happened to you?!" The Deku Tree suddenly asked. I was completely clueless. "What do you mean?" I asked. "You-your leg, Navi..." Link slowly said.
I looked down and saw my leg completely red with huge scars all over. "That stupid Baba!" I cursed. "Pardon?" Said the Deku Tree. I explained to them what had happened. "Navi, it'll be alright." The Deku Tree said confidently. "Here, forget about the wound. Close your eyes and relax."
I did as he told. I noticed that slowly, the pain in my leg was disappearing. I opened my eyes, and, to my amazement, the wound was healed.
I was beginning to think the Deku Tree had the abilities of a Great Fairy. "What happened? A-are you--" "Don't be alarmed, Navi," he said, "Since you are now a Guardian Fairy, you have abilities you didn't have before. This was one of them." "You mean... I can heal myself any time I get hurt?" I asked. He smiled. "Time gives experience, Navi. Soon enough, you'll understand how to use your abilities wisely."
"Now," he said, changing the subject, "Link, I understand you have just woken up, but do you feel you're ready to lift the curse that is upon myself?" Link nodded, a determined expression on his face.
At that moment, an opening we've never noticed before appeared at the side of the Deku Tree.
"Link, Navi," he said, "enter with caution. Monsters have entered my body and have already taken much of my energy. To lift the curse, you must defeat the leader of these monsters. Inside, try to get information about the enemy. Link, do your best. If you get into a problem, try working on a solution with Navi's help. Navi, be ready for anything."
With that said, we went Inside the Deku Tree.
End of Chapter Five.
