Most of the stories I have are ones that I just can't seem to finish, but I came across a story that's easy to explain and is just overall a great story.
Prologue
In the early 1900s, a dark shadow covered a small country town in rural America. At that time, a young married couple vanished mysteriously from their home.
The man's name was George, the woman's name was Maria.
Two years later, as suddenly as he left, George returned. He never told anyone where he had been or what he had done. But, he began an odd study, all by himself.
As for Maria, his wife...
She never returned.
80 years have passed since then... The year is 1988.

I'm glad you like it so far! Here's the first chapter of what I hope is a long, but nice story.
Also, I'm sorry that I had to take it off, I read it myself and it made absolutely no sense, so I had to rewrite it. --
Story One - George and Maria Chapter 1; Poltergeist Section 1
Date: Friday April 22, 1988 Time: 2:41PM
The school year is over in the city district of Podunk. Many kids can now spend their free time doing what they want. Because of that, the streets are filled with people, though things haven't been right at the south of town...
Just north of the main city are a bunch of small houses, which are commonly known as the suburbs of Podunk, and even further north is the forest, where there are less houses. Heading north from the suburbs by just a bit is Ms. Antoniette's house. Moving west from there is another house where Ninten, Minnie, Mimmie, and their mother lives.
A boy, around 14 years old, walked towards the house.
The living room as a clean feel to it. There are paintings decorating the walls and some plants are on the windowsills and corners of the room. Across the front door is a staircase leading up to the hallway. The boy walked right in. "Mom, I'm home," the boy said, with an exhausted tone. "Ninten! How was school?" His mother asked. "It was good, mom," Ninten said as he put down some of his things from his backpack. -Should heat up the stove- ((If you see things like that above, it usually means it's a thought. The thought can be from anyone, and I'm never going to say whose thought it is.)) "No thanks, mom, I think I'll rest for a bit," Ninten suddenly said, as if he read his mom's mind. Although the hallway's small, it's also decorated in a way to make the room feel nice, and calm. Ninten walked up the stairs to this hallway and went right across towards his room. Ninten's room is a bit empty. The only objects in there are a desk, a lamp, a chair, and his bed. He rarely spends time there, so he doesn't need much in his room. Ninten set down his bag and got on the bed.
Time: 4:09PM
The sunlight came into the room, and with the whiteish color on the walls, the room seemed to glow. At around the time, the sunlight would warm up the room. As the sunlight got to Ninten's bed and Ninten himself, he slowly woke up. "I must have been really tired," Ninten told himself. Feeling a bit hungry, Ninten decided to go downstairs. He reached towards the handle, but before he could even turn the knob, the house started shaking violently.

Story One - George and Maria Chapter 1; Poltergeist Section 2
Date: Friday April 22, 1988 Time: 4:11PM
The house shook violently. If this was a normal earthquake, the house would have fallen almost instantly, but this was no earthquake. Ninten was stuck at the door, his hand still reaching out to the doorknob. He could hardly move, not because he was trying to stay balanced with the shaking floor below him, but because something was keeping him from moving freely. As the ground was shaking, the lamp fell off from its desk and started moving toward Ninten, using the shaking floor as a way of moving; or at least it seemed that way. The lamp's movements weren't natural. It was rushing towards Ninten extremely quickly, and it rammed into him.
As the lamp hit, Ninten was able to move freely, and he started to kick back at the lamp. As he hit it, it seemed to have life in it. Each time it moved, it seemed to get tired. Each time it was hit, it seemed like it could feel the pain. After so many hits, the lamp stopped moving, and it was now just vibrating at the same rate the floor was moving.
Ninten rushed out to the hallway, and saw that the walls and floors were also moving, but many of the decorations were just staying at the same place without even moving, despite all the shaking. He rushed into his sisters' rooms and saw they were also frozen in place, fully aware of their surroundings but unable to move. Instead of lamps, their dolls were moving on the floor. Instead of moving by the floor's vibrations, they had legs to move around with.
The dolls weren't attacking his sisters. They seemed to just be walking in circles, but they rushed toward Ninten when they got in his sight. He hit the dolls like he hit the lamp, and they stopped moving.
There was something strange about Mimmie's doll. It had the ability to seriously hurt Ninten, and it did so. It also seemed like there was more energy in this doll. It took Ninten much of his strength to defeat it. As it was defeated, the doll flew back up to Mimmie's shelf, and the shaking stopped.
Ninten approached it, and the music box inside the doll started to make a small sound. Ninten memorized the sound.
After checking to see if his sisters were harmed, he went downstairs.
