Here it is!
((This story features adult Link and Zelda from OoT and TP.))
Chapter 1: LinkLink found himself standing amidst a field of darkness. He looked all around him, but he couldn't see anything.
Then, a pillar of green light suddenly surrounded him, making him feel much safer and more comfortable.
But he still couldn't see anything in the darkness outside the pillar.
And then, another pillar of light appeared in front of him. This time, it was blue.
A beautiful girl who looked to be about Link's age stood, facing him. She had long blonde hair, and deep blue eyes. Her expression was sad and almost scared.
She reached out her hand to Link. He watched her a moment, then reached out his own hand to take hers.
Right before their hands touched, a pillar of red light materialized right beside them.
A tall, large man with dark robes stood before them. He had green skin, and his face was twisted into an evil sneer. His dark red eyes frightened Link, and made him feel cold and scared.
The girl looked frightened, too. She gazed, horrified, at the man.
Then, suddenly, the man quickly reached out both of his hands and grabbed Link and the girl in each of them. Choking, gasping, unable to breathe, Link desperately tried to fight back, but it was no use. As the man's grip became tighter, Link felt himself drifting into unconciousness....
Then he awoke. He found himself in the safety and comfort of his own bed, in his grandmother's house, where he had lived nearly his entire life.
Heart beating rapidly, he took several deep breaths, trying to calm down. The nightmare had a heavy effect on him, but after a few minutes, he felt much better.
Getting out of bed, he looked around. There sat his grandmother, in her rocking chair by the fireplace, reading, and occasionally turning to check on the soup she was cooking in the fire.
Link smiled, walked over to her, and said:
"Good morning, grandma."
The little old lady looked up, saw her grandson, and smiled back.
"Good morning, dear! Guess what? I'm making some of your favorite soup today!"
"That sounds great!" replied Link, trying to keep his voice steady, so he wouldn't worry her.
She looked at him for a moment, then asked:
"Are you all right dear? You seem....disturbed."
"Oh, I'm fine," said Link quickly.
"All right, then," his grandmother said, returning to her usual, happy self. "I'm glad."
Link hugged his grandmother, then left the house. He emerged in a big, open field that was his grandmother's farm. It was a warm, bright, sunny morning, just as Link liked it.
The farm was basically a good-sized field, with a small cottage and a large barn off to the side. A few horses galloped around the field, some cows grazed at one of the most grassiest areas, and several chickens pecked around, as if life just couldn't get any better.
Link smiled as he looked at all the animals, then he walked to the center of the field and pulled out a small, wooden ocarina that his mother had carved a long time ago, before he was born.
He played a high, sweet tune, and a young, reddish-brown horse came running towards him.
"Hey, Epona," said Link. The horse neighed happily. She loved that song, so Link played it for her many times.
He patted the horse, then walked across the field to the ranch gate. It was open, as usual, so Link left the farm and found himself on a paved, stone walkway.
He was in Hyrule Castle Town, the capitol city. The town was surrounded by a tall, strong stone wall that stretched around Link's farm, then went north, and wrapped around the back of Hyrule Castle, the symbol of justice and peace throughout the land.
So, the town, the farm, and the castle were in close proximity, all surrounded by the stone wall, which kept enemies from entering the city. These days, though, there was no threat to Hyrule, but seeing the great wall of Hyrule Castle was still an amazing site to anyone visiting the town.
Hyrule Castle was a strong fortress, that was the home of the Royal Family, comprising of King Daltus, a wise, fair man, and his daughter, Princess Zelda, who was very much like her father. Link, sadly, had never been inside the castle....
...But he knew that one day, he would enter the great symbol of Hyrule...
....One day....
