Anyone ever tried cosplaying? Or go to any anime conventions?
I went to Anime Evolution this year, though for some reason I didn't take many pictures of people (because I thought my friends took them).
Right now, I'm not going to talk about my cosplay this year because nothing went right with it anyways. It's worse than my first cosplay (well actually the first one was okay)
I am hoping my third cosplay (for 2010) will turn out alright.

I've never tried it (I'm way too shy), but I've seen pictures of some really neat cosplayers. ;D So, who do you like to dress up as, if you don't mind my asking?

lol I can't believe I'm being so reticent on the first post that I didn't mention my cosplays. My first cosplay was Allen Walker from D.Gray-man, but it wasn't for the anime convention. The second is Ranka Lee from Macross Frontier (I messed up this one xD). The third one I'm going to cosplay is Suwako Moriya from Touhou Project.
I was actually somewhat shy at first because I didn't like taking pictures (but didn't want to offend anyone if I refuse). I prefer just dressing up. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. My friends force me to take pictures. D= I don't mind taking a few, but only if I'm actually confident in my cosplay. For example, I knew my second cosplay wasn't good and I was wearing it at the time, so I really dreaded taking pictures and wanted to leave.

I...don't know who any of those are, but I'm sure they were cool. ;D Aw, that's too bad. It doesn't seem right that they force you...hopefully you still enjoy doing it anyway.

Oh, I don't think I've told you about what happened this Halloween yet (though it has little to nothing to do with cosplay).
I wore my blonde wig to school and put on one of those anime-ish school uniforms that day. When I sat with the usual people at the lockers in the morning waiting for my biology class, everyone ignored me. Well they were not exactly ignoring me, but also stealing glances and trying to figure out who I was. When I finally talked to them, they realized who I was and were like: "OMG I didn't know who you were!"
That day was pretty amusing to me because it went like that for my second block physics class as well. Some people thought I had entered the wrong class. My first two teachers made comments like: "Out of all the people in this class, I've never imagined you would become blonde."
It may not sound like it should be shock-inducing to my peers, but it actually should be. It's because I normally dress very neutral (tomboyish), never dyed my hair in my whole life, don't really speak up in class much, and am the least likely to do something weird like what I've just done this Halloween.

Lol, that's pretty funny. It's good that you're not too afraid to try new things. Good for you! Do you ever plan on doing something like that again?
